Thanks to support from Community Jobs Scotland we are looking for a Reception and Information Assistant to work with the Library 30 hours a week. The post is available to 16 to 19 year olds who are not accessing alternative Government support (e.g. already on Get Ready for Work or the Work Programme). Any individuals wishing to apply for must first be referred by a Jobcentre Plus or Skills Development Scotland Advisor who will determine eligibility.

Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) is a partnership between the Scottish Government and SCVO that creates work opportunities for unemployed individuals within a wide range of third sector organisations across Scotland. The key purpose of Community Jobs Scotland is to support young people into sustainable employment through providing meaningful paid work experience in the third sector. However, it also has the dual purpose of increasing the capacity of third sector organisations at a time of increasing demand for support services.
