The National Lifelong Learning Team attended a networking event at the Royal Scottish Concert Hall on Thursday 17th September. The event, run by Paths for All, was a chance for groups from all over Scotland to meet and find out about walking for health. Adele and Jean from Glasgow women’s library led 2 women’s heritage walks in the Garnethill area and Morag and Nisha ran the GWL information stall. Both the heritage walks were fully booked and the event was a great chance for groups from all over Scotland to find out more about the women’s library and the learning opportunities we can offer to women in Scotland. Some members of the Wigtown Women’s History Group also attended the event. They are currently developing a women’s heritage walk in Wigtown and will be keeping us up to date with their progress on a new blog, soon to feature on our website.
Photos from the event, including the Garnethill walk, are available on the Paths to Health Flickr photostream.
