The Kiss by Kathryn Harrison
It’s a true story of incest between a father and grown-up, student daughter but it reads like a novel and is written with real insight and absence of self-pity. I understood why the writer felt lost and vulnerable and how an abusive and dominating father put her under his spell. It ends hopefully though as she breaks free from him and begins a self-determined life.
