PMT (Pre-Move Tension) abounds – but in a good way! The Team are divvying out leaflets and identifying venues to flood with publicity re. the Book Sale. Typical GWL planning discussions ongoing; will we have more success if we call it a Book Sale and not a Women’s Library Booksale?, ditto re (Relocation) Book Sale? The 12 foot ‘transition’ timeplan is getting more congested: settee distribution, carpet scrounging for new space, blob audit (for marking book sale books), pasting table inventory, dexion shelving measuring and still Wendy is weeding, weeding, weeding…In contrast to the move activities, learners drift in for Pam So’s Flower Power course and somehow effortlessly create beautiful prints from leaves and flowers, dreamscapes of Iraqi gardens and lush, bountiful collaged allotments and then drift away again, oblivious to the frantic backdrop, leaving behind a washing line full of artworks hanging at the big arched window. A breather for blogging, planning and emailing and then prepping for the Mandarin learners arrival.
