A revolution is under way! In AFRICA IS A WOMAN’S NAME we meet women from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Kenya who are part of this revolution. They work to transform their daily routines, improve the conditions of their lives and change the world that surrounds them. Three women filmmakers tell the stories of three unusual women and their countries.
There was a time when screening women’s films about women’s lives was radical in itself. It is time to revolutionise how we watch these films today. The film will be interrupted at key points to allow time and space for discussion and reflection.

This event has been made possible with friendly support by Africa in Motion film festival (AiM). This screening is part of Being Human Festival 2016.
