Women’s History Unwrapped – Mile End Mill, Paisley
2nd November, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pmFree
There are ordinary heroines and extraordinary women in every community’s history, but where can you find them and how are they recognised?
Women’s History Unwrapped, Thursday 2nd November, 1pm-3pm, Mile End Mill, 12 Seedhill Road, Paisley.
View Lauren Printy Currie’s exhibition in the Travelling Gallery which was inspired by the unique resources and artefacts at GWL, a place dedicated to conserving women’s history. Discover the treasures in our Mobile Mini Archive, share your ideas for an archive about local women and find out how you can make a women’s heritage project happen in your community.
This workshop is offered in partnership with Travelling Gallery and with support from Outset Scotland and Heritage Lottery Fund.
This event is for women only and is free to attend. Please book below (you will be taken through the shopping cart but no charge will be made) or you can call us on 0141 550 2267. If you have booked a place and are no longer able to attend please let us know so that we can make your place available to someone else.
If you would like to see the Travelling Gallery and exhibition but can’t make it to Mile End Mill for this workshop, a member of GWL will also be accompanying the exhibition at Johnstone Town Hall from 10am-3pm on Friday 3rd November. Please do pop by and see us there!
