The Open Archive: Stop the Clause!
20th September, 2018, 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Thirty years ago Section 28 was introduced by the Tory Government. The act called on local authorities to prohibit the “promotion” of homosexuality across the public sector including in schools and libraries. Our archive contains an array of unique and important material documenting the introduction of the clause, as well as the enormous backlash and campaigns against it.
The Open Archive: Stop the Clause, Thursday 20th September, 5pm to 7pm
Come along to the Open Archive to explore the histories of oppression as well as solidarity which came about because of the controversial law.
