Temporary Library Closure

At the end of October, we updated you on the replacement of our boiler and unexpected delays which have meant the works are taking longer than was initially projected. We do have heat from temporary heaters and a supply of blankets but because our building is large and old, it can sometimes make it feel quite cold.
Because we pride ourselves on our warm welcome and we care about the wellbeing of our staff and visitors, we have decided to alter our opening times in November and December. This will hopefully mean our spaces get a little longer to heat up and will give our staff the chance to work from alternative locations if they’re feeling chilly.
From Monday 18th November until we open again in the new year (on Monday 6th January 2020), we will now be closed on Mondays and Fridays and we will have reduced opening hours on Thursdays. We will be open on Friday 15th November and we’ll also be closed for the holidays from Saturday 21st December and reopening on Monday 6th January 2020.
