Pop in to the Library to pick up a copy of our Summer 2022 programme of events.
As our In Person events continue to return, our Summer 2022 programme will be available in print from Tuesday 24th May – pop in then or any time during our opening hours (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10am to 4.30pm; Thursday: 10am to 7pm; Saturday: 12noon to 4pm) to collect your copy!
This season our 30th Anniversary project Three Decades of Changing Minds picks up momentum. Our dedicated project team have set to work unpacking GWL’s history from archive boxes, and from the memories of past and present staff, volunteers, Board, participants, and partners. We’re also looking to you to fill the gaps in GWL’s history! We would love you to join us as we delve into previously unexamined photographs, documents, and items in our collections as they emerge and bring your memories into the mix!.
And the everyday amazing-ness of GWL’s programme continues to run throughout the summer! Our regular literature and creative writing sessions including Open Book, Readers and Responders of Colour, Reading Group for Muslim Women, our book group, and Story Café all return.
Our arts programming explores the presence of Maud Sulter in our archive, an exhibition of Wilhelmina Barns-Graham prints, and live performance by Bob Kil. And finally, we can enjoy light summer days on GWL Heritage Walks and Bike Rides again!
