Through the nostalgic style of early gaming, gain insight into the lives of trans people in Japan, hear the intimate childhood memories of LGBTQI+ people in Australia through an interactive documentary, and experience a 360 degree video of a mother and son discussing homophobia in Russia, plus lots more. The SQIFF team will be on hand to guide your experience!

Join us for the launch on Thursday 3rd October.

Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQIFF) 2019 takes place 2nd to 6th October in Glasgow. Their main venue is the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) on Sauchiehall Street. See their website for information on tickets and audience travel fund to support individuals and groups attending who couldn’t otherwise afford to.

Booking

This event is drop-in and open to all 12+. It is free to attend and there is no need to book.

Accessibility

The projects in the exhibition use a variety of media and styles and we aim to make each project as accessible as possible for D/deaf and Disabled audiences.

Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available. For paid events free companion tickets are available.

Find more information on Accessibility at GWL or contact us and we will be very happy to offer assistance.
