SQIFF 2019 VR & Interactive Exhibition Launch

Through the nostalgic style of early gaming, gain insight into the lives of trans people in Japan, hear the intimate childhood memories of LGBTQI+ people in Australia through an interactive documentary, and experience a 360 degree video of a mother and son discussing homophobia in Russia, plus lots more. The SQIFF team will be on hand to guide your experience!

A drinks reception to mark the launch of Scottish Queer International Film Festival’s (SQIFF) Virtual Reality & Interactive Exhibition which showcases stories from around the world told using the latest technology and innovative techniques. Find out more about the exhibition here.
This event is open to all (12+) and is free to attend. Please book below (you will be taken through the shopping cart but no charge will be made) or you can call us on 0141 550 2267. If you have booked a place and are no longer able to attend please let us know so that we can make your place available to someone else.
The projects in the exhibition use a variety of media and styles and we aim to make each project as accessible as possible for D/deaf and Disabled audiences.
Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available. For paid events free companion tickets are available.
