Posters are powerful. This, the second of three exhibitions celebrating the unique archive and museum treasures at GWL during our 25th anniversary year, will showcase some of the many posters held in our museum collection. Whether donated or created by and for the library, they illustrate the array of ways that poster art and design have been important to women, women’s groups and GWL. This exhibition has been curated and designed by our first Designer in Residence, Kirsty McBride.

Sisterhood is Powerful: Launch Event, Thursday 11th May, 6pm to 7.30pm

All are welcome to join us for a preview of the exhibition and to celebrate the launch of our Summer Programme. This is a perfect opportunity to be one of the first to see this exhibition, find out more about upcoming Summer events and browse our book sale!

This exhibition is part of the Festival of Museums.
