Online: Still Seeing Things

3rd June, 2020 at 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Seeing things
A photograph of a grid of 4 x 7 framed drawings. You cannot see the drawings close up but they are simple and childlike - as if they have been drawn quickly. They use text and images. Some you can see are of human figures and 1 depicts a cat.

If you’re missing the chance to mosey around museums, looking to discover new examples of women’s contributions to arts and culture or you’re just keen to pass some time on a Wednesday afternoon, you are not alone and that is why we’re Still Seeing Things.

Still Seeing Things, Wednesdays 13th May – 17th June, 12.30pm to 2pm, GWL Twitter

Every Wednesday afternoon at 12.30pm a GWL Volunteer will be taking over @womenslibrary Twitter to guide a virtual visit to an online exhibition or museum archive. So far we’ve seen artist films, travelled to all the way to MOMA in New York and been treated to Tweet tours around exhibitions of work by iconic artists Judy Chicago and Frida Kahlo. There’s plenty more to be seen out there, even while staying at home. No prior knowledge or interest is necessary and all are welcome to ask questions and share thoughts.
