Online: Still Seeing Things

15th July, 2020, 12:30pm to 2:00pm

Seeing things

Seeing thingsIf you’re missing the chance to mosey around museums, looking to discover new examples of women’s contributions to arts and culture or you’re just keen to pass some time on a Wednesday afternoon, you are not alone and that is why we’re Still Seeing Things.

Still Seeing Things, Wednesdays 1st July, 15th July, 29th July, 12th August, 12.30pm to 2pm, GWL Twitter.

Every other Wednesday afternoon at 12.30pm a GWL Volunteer will be taking over @womenslibrary Twitter (and sometime Instagram!) to guide a virtual visit to an online exhibition or museum archive. So far we’ve seen artist films, travelled to all the way to MOMA in New York and been treated to Tweet tours around exhibitions of work by iconic artists Maud Sulter and Frida Kahlo. There’s plenty more to be seen out there, even while staying at home. No prior knowledge or interest is necessary and all are welcome to ask questions and share thoughts.
