Join Ingrid Pollard and Mason Leaver-Yap in conversation as they discuss Ingrid’s recent residency and commission with Glasgow Women’s Library, and the process of working within a relatively young archive.

Ingrid Pollard is a multi-media artist, photographer, researcher and lecturer. Ingrid has developed a social practice concerned with representation, history and landscape with reference to race, difference and the materiality of lens-based media. In 2019 she was commissioned to undertake a residency and produce new works in response to the Lesbian Archive held at Glasgow Women’s Library. Mason Leaver-Yap works with artists to produce texts, exhibitions and events, and has worked with Ingrid in the past (Hot Moment, Auto Italia, 2020).

This virtual in conversation event is programmed as part of Ingrid’s exhibition at GWL, which takes place from Friday 28th May to Friday 23rd July. Find out more about the exhibition here.

The exhibition is selected for and supported by Glasgow International 2021 Across the City Programme and Esmee Fairbairn Collections Fund.
