GWL Origin Stories: Making History

Our Three Decades team invite you contribute your GWL Origin Stories to build a more complete picture of our grassroots beginnings.

GWL Origin Stories: Making History, Saturday 17th December, 12pm to 4pm, GWL, Free

In this session we support you to share your memories and reflections on GWL gatherings, events or activities from our early days in Garnethill, Trongate, and Parnie Street. By exploring archival items including photos, posters, flyers and documents we hope to activate and record hidden stories of your interactions with and visits to GWL during our early years. We would also love you to bring your own photographs or items that document your memories.

This is one of our ‘Take Part’ events this autumn! (‘Attend’ events mean you can listen or look in and enjoy the event with no pressure to join in, though there will likely be opportunities to chat too! ‘Take Part’ events involve a bit more activity or participation on your part, you are of course still welcome to do so as little or as much as you would like to.)

Accessibility

Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available.
