Bold Types: Creative Writing Showcase

Entries for the Bold Types competition are now open so be bold and submit your short stories and poems of up to 1000 words. Email your writing (either in the body of an email or in an attached word document) to info@womenslibrary.org.uk with Bold Types Competition Entry in the subject line. You can enter once in each category and the closing date is Friday 2nd November 2018.
Bold Types: Creative Writing Showcase, Thursday 22nd November, 5.30pm to 7.30pm, £2/Free
Join us for our Bold Types Showcase, and hear the shortlisted writers read their stories in front of our wonderfully supportive and encouraging panel of judges, including: prize-winning poet Vicki Husband; Science Fiction novelist Safina Mazhar; and GWL’s own librarian, Wendy Kirk. Winners will be announced on the night. Prizes include a 1:1 session with one of our judges and a selection of books.

Booking
This event is open to all and we prefer for tickets to be booked in advance whenever possible. This event costs £2 full price. We offer subsidised free places for students, people on a low income, unemployed or those in receipt of benefit and Friends of GWL. If you are eligible for a subsidised place select the subsidised ticket below, or come in to the Library to book.
