Alice started volunteering at the library in 2009 and now, after helping on a number of projects, she works for us as a sessional tutor with the national lifelong learning project. Here Alice talks about her journey with GWL
Would you like to help out with a mass participation documentary film project, Northern Lights?
To help widen access to the project and support the facilitation of the workshops, we are looking for:
– Social Media Volunteers to collect information from the workshops and participants to be used on Facebook and Twitter
– Digital Media Volunteers to digitise workshop participants’ footage once the workshops have taken place
If you have professional photographic experience (either stills or video) and/or experience of capturing audio for oral history and synching with video, we would love to hear from you.

The Library’s Adult Literacy and Numeracy (ALN) project is looking for volunteer tutors to support women to develop their literacy and numeracy skills, in group and one to one sessions.
