Reopening in May 2021

We’re over the moon to announce that Glasgow Women’s Library will re-open on Tuesday 4th May at 11am. We are taking a phased approach to re-opening, and our opening hours for May will be 11am – 4pm, Tuesday – Friday.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and visitors remains our top priority and our safety measures, including social distancing, mask wearing, hand sanitising and handwashing points, and regular cleaning, will continue to be in place.

Visitors will be able to browse & borrow, Select and Collect or pick up a mystery book bundle.

We hope to be able to welcome researchers back from Wednesday 5th May – this will be by appointment only and 2 weeks notice will be required. Due to social distancing, space will be limited and capacity for researchers will be reduced. Please contact us to arrange an appointment to access the archives.

We’ll continue to bring you online events and other ways to get involved with our work digitally in May and throughout the summer, including our literature festival Open the Door.

Please do keep in touch with us via our website and Social Media – you can find us on FacebookTwitter (@womenslibrary) and Instagram (@womenslibrary).

You can also join our mailing list for monthly updates, or email us at info@womenslibrary.org.uk with any questions, comments or concerns.

As always, we thank you all for your continued patience and support during these times.
