Covid-19 update, February – April 2021

On 23rd February, the Scottish Government announced its updated Strategic Framework on Covid-19, with initial timescales for the easing of some restrictions, and a commitment to publish a more detailed version of the Framework in mid-March.

At this time, there is no agreed date that allows the reopening of Libraries and Museums in Scotland and therefore, in response to Scottish Government legislation, and in accordance with the ‘stay at home’ guidance still in place across mainland Scotland, the GWL building must remain closed until at least 26th April 2021.

While the building is closed, the GWL staff team will continue to work from home, delivering our Spring programme of digital events, bringing you news of our work, and ways to get involved through our Social Media platforms.

Please do contact us by email during this time.

Keeping within restrictions, throughout this period designated staff team members will check the building regularly for care and maintenance purposes.

Our online shop is still open and we appreciate all your support during this time. We’ll be sending out orders when viable.

Please do keep in touch with us via our website and Social Media – you can find us on FacebookTwitter (@womenslibrary) and Instagram (@womenslibrary).

You can also join our mailing list for monthly updates, or email us at info@womenslibrary.org.uk with any questions, comments or concerns.

As always, we thank you all for your continued patience and support during these times.
