Join the GWL Board

Applications for the GWL Board of Directors are now closed.

Glasgow Women’s Library wants to expand its team of Non-Executive Directors.

What an exciting time to become involved with a unique organisation in Scotland.

With recent relocation to permanent premises and a capital renovation project imminent, GWL would like to extend an invitation to women to join our Board of Directors.

We are holding a ‘Champions’ Recruitment Information evening in GWL’s new premises at 23 Landressy Street, Bridgeton on Tuesday 21st January, from 6pm to 8pm, aimed specifically at those interested in joining the Board and championing GWL.

If you are interested in joining us as a Board member or as someone who could champion GWL in other ways, please do come along. It is not, however, a requirement to attend this evening in order to apply to join the Board. Simply complete the two-part Application Form, available to download below.

‘Champions’ can support GWL in all sorts of ways, for instance by promoting our ‘Friends’ scheme. Or you might be interested in supporting GWL in other, more informal ways.

We are looking for women with a real belief in and passion for the work of GWL and ideally with skills, knowledge or experience in museums, HR, marketing, finance and fundraising. We would also love more diversity on our Board too and aim to recruit more BME and young women.

The evening will be an informal gathering, a chance to meet the GWL team and be inspired to play an active part in GWL’s bright future.

Please contact Sue John at sue.john@womenslibrary.org.uk for more information or to confirm your attendance at the event on 21st January.
