			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This <a href="http://www.glasgowdoorsopenday.com/">Doors Open</a> weekend be one of the first to experience our fantastic new women’s history walking tour that digs the dirt on Victorian society, unearths women’s achievements and exhumes the history of some of the women buried in the Glasgow Necropolis.<br />

<p>The walk should last approximately 2 hours.  Please wear sensible shoes as you will be walking around the Glasgow Necropolis which involves some small inclines.  </p>

<p>Uncover the Merchant City’s hidden history during this walk around Glasgow’s cosmopolitan hub. Join Glasgow Women’s Library tour guides to discover the female stars that stud the fabric of this famous quarter. Scandal, vice, radicalism, regeneration and revival are topics highlighted by this original tour.</p>

<p>Behind the doors of this fairly average city centre building lies a Scottish success story. These are the temporary premises of Glasgow Women’s Library and its unique collection of archive materials that record Suffragettes to Women’s Libbers, and contains knitting patterns to radical badges.  </p>

<p>What type of Society do we live in? What makes us who we are? Are women naturally more caring than men? Who came to Scotland between the 1830’s and 1930’s? Are there different rules for men and women? These are some of the questions we look at in our Introduction to Women&#8217;s Studies course.<br />

<p>GWL and WEA are hosting 2 singing workshops for Gude Cause.  The workshops will give you the opportunity to learn the songs for the Gude Cause march re-enactment. The workshops are open to any women who want to be involved whether you feel have singing ability or not!<br />
