The Library continues to grow and develop, and the year 2008-9 was no exception, with the first major funding secured towards our relocation to the Mitchell, from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Robertson Trust. Our learning programmes have gone from strength to strength, with continuing success of projects like the Women Make History group, exciting one-off events like the launch of Jackie Kay’s book The Lamplighter, and projects spanning many cultures, age groups and sister organisations lead by the Black & Minority Ethnic Women’s Project.
