A Lasting Legacy for Glasgow Women’s Library
Glasgow Women’s Library celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2011.
This is a significant milestone and in that time we have developed from a grass-roots group totally reliant on volunteers into a unique and well-respected organisation providing life-changing opportunities for thousands of women.
Now we must make sure that we safeguard our future for the next 20 years and beyond so that we can continue to support women to change their lives, and those of their families and broader communities, for the better.
So that we can ensure this long-term security we need your help today and would like to ask that you leave a Legacy to Glasgow Women’s Library in your Will, so that you can make a difference after your death without affecting your current financial circumstances.
Of course it is important that you take care of your family and friends first, but we hope that you will also be in a position to think of Glasgow Women’s Library, as every Legacy, however big or small, can help. Your gift can be given in many ways, such as cash, property, shares or land, at a sum you feel you can afford; however much you feel you can leave, you can be assured that Glasgow Women’s Library will be most grateful.
Leaving a Legacy is a gift that lasts beyond your lifetime and will help to ensure that Glasgow Women’s Library will continue to grow and thrive as one of Scotland’s national treasures.
Leaving a Legacy to Glasgow Women’s Library in your Will is a simple process and we have suggested wording below that you might like to use. However, you should always speak to your Solicitor first.
Here is some suggested wording for a simple Legacy in your Will:
To Glasgow Women’s Library, 23 Landressy Street, Glasgow G40 1BP (Charity Number SC029881), the sum of [INSERT THE AMOUNT IN POUNDS] OR [INSERT THE PERCENTAGE] % of the residue of my Estate.
Leaving a Lasting Legacy should only take a short time to arrange, but it will make a huge difference to Glasgow Women’s Library and you can be assured that your bequest will directly secure the future of one of Scotland’s national treasures.
Thank you for your support now and in the future.
