March of Women: Creative Workshops

Join one of our March of Women Creative Workshops and create beautiful banners, sashes and rosettes for the project.
Sashes and Rosettes
Come and join us to create sashes and rosettes for the March of Women project. Whether you want to be part of the performance and procession, or would just like to be involved in making something which can be worn on the day, we would like to invite you to come and create something beautiful in the steps of the suffragettes.
Monday 9th February, 11am to 1pm
Monday 9th February, 1.30pm to 3.30pm
Tuesday 10th February, 5.30pm to 7.30pm
The sashes and rosettes will be worn by the women performing the play A Pageant of Great Women’ as they are processing from Glasgow Women’s Library to Glasgow Green on the 7th of March, 2015.
No experience or artistic flair required, simply come along and have fun! All materials will be provided.
Banner Making
Come and join us to create banners for the March of Women project.
Tuesdays 17th and 24th February and 3rd March, 5.30pm to 7.30pm
Whether you want to be part or not of the performance and procession, or would just like to be involved in making something which can be worn on the day, we would like to invite you to come and create beautiful banners which will be carried by the women participating in the project as they are processing from Glasgow Women’s Library to Glasgow Green on the 7th of March, 2015.
