International Women’s Day: Illuminated Letters Launch

International Women’s Day with Glasgow Women’s Library at GoMA
Friday 8th March, 12.30pm to 3.30pm

Join us in the Studio at the Gallery of Modern Art to celebrate International Women’s Day. Where we will launch our Illuminated Letter Programme.

At this event there will be opportunities to explore life and works of Niki de Saint-Phalle.

Niki incorporated art into most aspects of her life, such as in her letter writing. Whether those were addressed to collectors and directors of museums, concerning the acquisition of her works by the Gallery or to her family and friends about her traumatic experiences, her letters are concise, enchanting and most importantly beautifully illustrated.

Come along to explore these captivating letters and get involved in an exciting program of workshops, such as illustration, graphics, doodling, poetry or prose.
