Story Café Special for Young Women: Katniss & Hermione Save the Day AGAIN

What if Hermione Granger had refused to do Harry and Ron’s homework? Why does Harry get all the house points when Hermione solves the mystery? What if Katniss Everdeen had refused to be the Mockingjay? Would it have been different if she wasn’t a girl? And how much of this fantasy translates to real life?

In this Story Café Special, join us to discuss two favourite heroines, Katniss and Hermione: what we love about these trailblazing characters and what we loathe about their worlds. Being a geek, with like minded women, and cake – could any lunchtime be better?
Our regular Story Cafés take place on Thursdays 2nd June to 30th June, 28th July, 11th August and 25th August, 12.30pm to 2.30pm. There’s always room around our Story Café table, so pull up a chair and become part of it.

This event is for women only and suitable for 12+. This event costs £2.00 full price, you can pay on the day. We offer subsidised and/or free places for students, people on a low income, unemployed or those in receipt of benefit and Friends of GWL.
