What’s On this Summer at GWL

What's On at GWL in Summer 2013Summer is almost here, although you wouldn’t believe it looking outside at the moment. We have some great activities for you to take part in, no matter where you are in the world! You can send a heroine of your choice an Illuminated Letters from anywhere in the world, or come along to one of the Illuminated Letters Workshops for inspiration.

We also have some Badges of Honour visits coming up over the summer as well as looking for women to tell their Badges of Honour stories of how badge-wearing women changed the world. A really great project to get involved with if you can.

Our women’s heritage walks continue throughout the summer with walks for the West End and Merchant City festivals as well as more strolls around the East End, Necropolis and a very exciting launch of our latest map!

We are also very excited to welcome artist, Faith Wilding, to the library for Navigating the Shoals of History and Memory, a sneak peek into her auto-biography in process, an event not to be missed.

This is not everything, so make sure you download a PDF copy of the current programme or pop in and see us at the library to pick up your copy. Copies will also be available at all Glasgow Life Libraries and Museums, so check your local one and let us know if we need to send them more copies.
