Reel Women

A celebration of a new partnership between GMAC, Glasgow Women’s Library and freelance female filmmakers.

Part of the First Thursday event at Trongate 103.

Thursday 5 August, 6.30pm (with no admitance after 7pm)
GMAC, 5th Floor, 103 Trongate

Film screenings from the GMAC archive, made by independant women filmmakers including Animation, Documentary, Autobiographical, Sci-fi and Drama. There will also be a screening of the Glasgow Women’s Library production One Small Step.

Screenings followed by short talk on Art Film Direction and Commercial Film Direction with room for discussion around these, the films shown, and general discussion around women in the filmmaking industry.

Music in the archive

Last week, the Library had a visit from Debi Withers, one of the women behind the Women’s Liberation Music Archive. Glasgow Women’s Library were delighted to welcome Debi as she consulted material from our archive.
Coatbridge intergenerational project
