Wigtown Community Festival-Mapping Her-story

Wigtown Women’s Walk Group and Glasgow Women’s Library are hosting an Open Day event at Wigtown Community Festival which will focus on mapping and recording the lives, history and acheivements of Wigtown women, past and present. Anyone can take part in “Mapping Her-story” on Wednesday 7th July from 10am-4pm at the Baptist Church in Wigtown. Anyone who would like to participate should bring along clothes, quilts, recipes, photographs, documents or deeds, letters, poems, sayings or songs, toys, gifts – anything that reminds you of an important woman in your life past or present. Members of Glasgow Women’s library will be on hand to help participants create a Her-story map and share some great stories together.
There will also be activities for families with children between 2 -3.30 pm.
