The Twilight Time

Val recommends:
The twilight time by Karen Campbell

It’s a story about policewomen and prostitution in Glasgow – two different sets of women in uniform, trying to live the best way they can.  Every character is realistic, it’s beautifully written, pacy, sharp, funny and I’ve never read such a funny and furious description of the shock of motherhood!
